Claw Arms for High Performance Cameras
This a lightweight 65 mm Beryllium claw arm weighing less than 11 grams each. There are over 20 critical high tolerance dimensions and features per claw arm. The wall thickness on all 5 sides shown is .025". |
|
Precise Ultra-light 65 mm Claw Arm with .025" Thick Walls
This Beryllium claw arm is 2.5 times lighter than the aluminum part it replaces and is 4 times stiffer. Because of its low mass and stiffness, this part can be driven at the high speeds while not losing its accuracy. |

Diffusion Bonded Heat Exchanger
Printed circuit boards are placed on both the top and bottom surfaces of this Beryllium assembly. Due to high heat loads generated by the electronics, this assembly had to be actively cooled. In addition, this assembly has to act as a structural stiffening member for the assembly it goes into. Please see the next photo showing the internal cavity of this assembly. |

Internal Cooling Passages of a Diffusion Bonded Heat Exchanger
Cooling passages are machined integrally into the heat exchanger prior to diffusion bonding a cover into place. After the cover is added, finish machining is performed to access the coolant passages and complete the detail machining to the exterior of the heat exchanger. |

Heat Sinks for Avionics Applications, Center Unit has Brazed Standoffs
Be-38Al has the same CTE as polyamide PCBs. Be-38AL is also used for its high thermal conductivity, lightweight and high stiffness. The combination of these properties allows the designer to produce a high performance metal heat sink for applications with significant weight constraints. |

Standard SEM-E Style Heat Sinks
Standard SEM-E style heat sinks are easily produced. Peregrine has a standard iges file available for a designer to use as a starting point. Please contact us to receive a copy. |
